2. General information on data processing

We process personal data of our visitors only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and to handle inquiries. Apart from storing your consent and theme preferences in your browser (localStorage), we do not set any cookies of our own. The analytics service Google Analytics is only loaded with your consent (see sections 6 and 7). We do not embed external fonts.

3. Hosting and server log files

When you visit this website, the web server automatically collects information and stores it in so-called server log files. The following may be recorded:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of access
• page or file accessed
• browser type and version as well as operating system
• referrer URL

Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in ensuring the stable and secure operation of the website (e.g. defending against attacks, error analysis). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. Hosting takes place exclusively in data centers in Germany.

4. Contact form and email contact

If you send us an inquiry via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, company if given, email address, content of the message) to handle your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. The details from the form are delivered to us by email.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as your inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling inquiries). The same applies if you contact us directly by email.

Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to handle the inquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply. If a contractual relationship is established, the retention periods applicable there apply.

5. Internal notification via Discord (webhook)

To handle incoming inquiries more quickly, the details submitted via the contact form (name, company if given, email address, message) are additionally transmitted as an internal notification to a channel of the communication service Discord that is accessible only to us. The provider is Discord Inc., 444 De Haro Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

Personal data may be transferred to the USA in this process. Discord Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; an adequacy decision of the EU Commission therefore exists for this transfer (Art. 45 GDPR). The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the prompt and reliable handling of customer inquiries. The notifications are deleted regularly once the inquiry has been dealt with.

If you wish to avoid the transfer to Discord, you can send us your inquiry by email to support@cube-hosting.net instead.

6. Consent and cookie banner

On your first visit, a banner asks whether Google Analytics may be used. We store your decision in your browser's localStorage; it remains in effect until you change it. Without your consent, no analytics service is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

You can revoke or change your decision at any time: reopen cookie settings.

7. Google Analytics

If you have given your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze the use of the website (e.g. pages visited, time spent, browser used, truncated IP address). By default, Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP address and truncates it before processing.

Data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; an adequacy decision of the EU Commission therefore exists for this transfer (Art. 45 GDPR).

The legal basis for the processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) of the German TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings (section 6). Data stored by Google Analytics is automatically deleted after 14 months at the latest. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.

8. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries via the contact form, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser starts with "https://".

9. Your rights

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data stored by us:

• right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

In the event of violations of data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

11. Changes to this privacy policy

We will amend this privacy policy whenever changes to the data processing we carry out make this necessary. The current version published here applies in each case.
