Our data centers
Our managed clusters do not run “somewhere in the cloud”, but at nameable locations in Germany: primarily in the Maincubes FRA01 in Frankfurt, with NBG01 in Nuremberg as a second location.

Maincubes FRA01, Frankfurt am Main.
Our managed clusters are operated in the Maincubes FRA01 in the Rhine-Main region – one of Germany's most modern data centers, just a few kilometers from Europe's most important internet exchange. The location is a deliberate choice: low latency in every direction, excellent carrier density and an operator that takes availability seriously in its contracts.

Principle
Why one primary location for the cluster.
Cluster nodes belong close together: replication and failover are sensitive to latency. That is why we run managed clusters consistently at one primary location – with uniform network and storage standards instead of a patchwork of regions with differing characteristics.
The result: predictable performance, cleanly tested failover behavior and connectivity via our own network AS47263 with peering directly in Frankfurt.
Second location · NBG01
NBG01, Nuremberg.
With NBG01 in Nuremberg we operate a second, geographically separate location. For managed clusters it plays two main roles: as a target for backup copies outside the primary location – and as a second foothold for enterprise setups with multi-site deployment, when your availability target must also cover the failure of an entire data center.
Whether a second location makes sense for your project is settled in the design phase – soberly, based on availability target and budget.
Data protection
Two locations, one jurisdiction.
Frankfurt and Nuremberg – processing and storage of your data take place exclusively in Germany, GDPR-compliant with a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. No third-country transfers, no vague cloud regions – two nameable addresses within German jurisdiction.

Frequently asked questions about our locations.
Where exactly are my servers located?
In the Maincubes FRA01 in the Rhine-Main region – an ISO 27001-certified data center. On request, we name the location including its address in your contract; for compliance requirements this is often decisive.
What happens if the entire data center fails?
The standard cluster is redundant within FRA01. If your availability target must also cover the failure of an entire site, we plan a multi-site setup with NBG01 – that is an Enterprise option and part of the design phase.
Are the backups stored in the same data center?
Backups are kept separate from the cluster; on request, with an additional copy at the second location in Nuremberg. Retention periods and scope are defined together.
Is there on-site intervention when hardware fails?
Yes – via 24/7 NOC and remote hands on site. Failed components are replaced around the clock, without a technician having to travel in first.
